André-Hubert Roussel takes over as CEO of Latecoere
Latecoere, the Tier 1 aviation supplier, has announced the appointment of a new managing director, with immediate effect, to lead the company’s next phase of growth.
André-Hubert Roussel is the new managing director of Latecoere, Tier 1 supplier to major international aircraft manufacturers. He was previously general manager of ArianeGroup, prime contractor for Ariane satellite launchers and missiles for France’s nuclear deterrent. Latecoere is thus entrusting the company’s next phase of growth to an expert with more than 20 years’ experience of the aerospace and defence industry.

“Latecoere is an iconic French company that now operates on a global scale. As a leading manufacturer of complex aerostructures and interconnect systems, Latecoere’s mission is critical not only to the industry today, but also to its continued ability to progress and innovate in the future. Right now, we need to focus on our customers’ needs to accelerate deliveries, given the continued growth in demand for our products and services,” said André-Hubert Roussel, following his appointment.

Previously Head of Operations at Airbus Defence and Space, where he turned around deliveries of the A400M aircraft, he gained experience in managing international teams and working with a wide range of international customers. He also held the position of head of engineering, Operations and Quality for the Systems Division. He holds engineering degrees from the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.
André-Hubert Roussel succeeds Greg Huttner, who held the position for 5 years. “I am proud of all Latecoere has achieved over the last five years in a difficult environment with Covid and the many challenges we have faced with supply chains and inflation,” he said. Thierry Mootz, chairman of the Board, thanked him “for leading a critical transformation of the business with the support of its key stakeholders, during a period of unprecedented disruption, putting Latecoere on a path of profitable and sustainable growth after many years of losses”.
