AOC announces price increase due to Middle East crisis impacts
Swiss-based global supplier of formulations and specialty materials AOC has announced price increases of up to €450 (US$521.83) per tonne for its product range sold in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
As the crisis in the Middle East continues, it is causing a sharp rise in the prices of various raw materials, due to the rapid escalation of oil prices, transport disruptions and increased fuel prices that are impacting deliveries, restrictions on sea routes, airspace limitations and supply chain instability. AOC has announced that its costs have risen significantly, forcing it to increase its prices.
AOC specifies that its prices will increase by up to €450 (US$521.83) per tonne for unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and Neoxil (registered trademark) products, depending on the specific product. The price increase will be effective 1 April 2026, or as soon as individual contracts allow.
“These exceptional circumstances, which are beyond our control, require AOC to issue price increases that reflect our rapidly increasing costs”, explained Jonathan Pantanowitz, AOC Managing Director, EMEA and India. “AOC’s global purchasing resources continue to work diligently with their network of supplier partners to manage costs, maintain supply and allow us to meet customer needs. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate proactively with our customers regarding the impact on our business. We thank you for your valued support as we continue to partner with you during these uncertain times.”
