Biesterfeld has just started to distribute Lynxter S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11, an industrial Independent dual extruder (IDEX) 3D printing platform designed for continuous, application-grade manufacturing in demanding environments, in the DACH region, i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with immediate effect An IDEX is a 3D printer equipped with two independent 3D print heads. The distribution in Norway had been successfully established in 2024.

This partnership enables Biesterfeld to strengthen and expand its additive manufacturing activities in the DACH region and, in particular, to introduce a new class of industrial liquid elastomer 3D printing solutions to strategically important industries such as defence, medical technology, industrial tooling and rapid prototyping.

Innovative liquid elastomer 3D printing technology

Lynxter S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11 is an industrial IDEX 3D printing platform designed for continuous, application-grade manufacturing in demanding environments. The S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11 configuration enables the processing of real RTV2 and LSR silicones and polyurethane systems, setting new standards in precision and material performance.

The system can support composite manufacturing processes through the production of silicone tooling, masking solutions and customised elastomer components used in composite part production. In particular, it is possible to manufacture a hollow composite part — such as a carbon fibre handlebar stem — using a reusable, 3D-printed silicone bladder.

The S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11 platform offers printing of medical and industrial LSR and RTV2 silicones (5–40 ShA medical; 45–70 ShA industrial), polyurethane processing 50–85 ShA for functional elastomeric prototypes, high precision with layer thicknesses from 50 μm, water-soluble support materials enabling complex geometries, industrial build volume of approximately 300 × 250 × 200 mm, heated and filtered chamber, automatic calibration and high-precision IDEX dual extrusion.

Applications range from medical models, soft robotics and customised cushioning solutions to masks, seals and industrial functional components. Comparable solutions for printing real RTV2 and LSR silicones in this industrial context are currently not available from other providers.

The cooperation with Lynxter marks an important milestone in expanding our additive manufacturing portfolio with cutting-edge silicone and PU 3D printing technologies. By combining Lynxter’s unique platform with Biesterfeld’s materials expertise and market access, we strengthen our ability to deliver advanced, application-driven solutions to customers across highly regulated and innovation-focused industries,” says Dr. Johannes Martin, Market Manager Composites & Tooling at Biesterfeld.
