Coexpair will deliver an advanced pneumatic hot press to Safran’s lab in France
Coexpair, a Belgian company specialised in RTM and SQRTM, announced it has signed a contract with Safran Aircraft Engines for the delivery and installation of an advanced pneumatic hot press for Safran’s new composite lab in France.
Coexpair, the Belgium-based specialist of RTM and SQRTM in partnership with the US company Radius Engineering, will deliver an advanced pneumatic hot press to equip Safran’s new composite development laboratory at Villaroche, France.
The aeronautics giant will use the equipment to develop thermoset and thermoplastic applications for its aircraft engines. The press enables the manufacturing of high-performance composite parts using several processes, including RTM, SQRTM, compression moulding, thermoplastic consolidation and thermoplastic hot forming.
The system integrates Coexpair’s latest technological advancements, such as high-speed actuation, advanced coordination software for seamless synchronisation with Coexpair injection systems and controlled cooling capabilities. Like all Coexpair’s machines, the press is aligned with the manufacturer’s core technology pillars, i.e. oil free operation, low energy consumption, robust design and minimal maintenance.
