Exel Composites strengthens its presence in the United States

Kristen Torres is the new US area sales manager at Exel Composites. With her 15 years’ experience in industrial and automotive sales, the Finnish composite materials manufacturer is looking to expand its presence in North America.

 ‘Her commitment to understanding customer needs (…) will help us strengthen our partnerships and consolidate our presence on the American continent,’ says Francesco Ierullo, Exel’s vice-president of sales and marketing.

In her new role as area sales manager, Ms Torres drives sales initiatives, manages key accounts and identifies new business opportunities in the region. She focuses on improving customer relationships, with a special target on key sectors such as electrical, buildings and infrastructure and telecommunications. She can also draw on the technical advice and customer services provided from Exel Composites’ factory in Erlanger, Kentucky, where “made in the USA” products are manufactured.

Kristen Torres previously worked at Aptiv, a manufacturer of electrical components for cars and electric vehicles. There she developed expertise in technical sales and customer-focused strategies, particularly in the industrial and automotive sectors. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy.
