90 second RTM solution for composite parts
Dow Automotive Systems will launch its latest epoxy resin matrix system for high-pressure Resin Transfer Molded composites at JEC Europe 2014. Voraforce 5300 is a material solution for RTM process that truly enables mass production of structural composite parts with cycle times under 90 seconds.
The launch will be attended by Peter Cate, Global Strategic Marketing Manager, who comments on Voraforce 5300: “Our novel formulation enables ultra-fast infusion and curing, while its super low viscosity also increases part consolidation potential in structural automotive composite production. With this new system we can meet the demand of automotive OEMs to achieve affordable light weight manufacture of true high volume part production.”
This groundbreaking solution for mass production composite parts coincides with the recently announced Dow adhesive bonding solution for full structural carbon fibre parts, as demonstrated in the safety cell of the BMW i3. The launch will take place at 15:00 March 12th, 2014 at the Dow Automotive stand K 19 in hall 7.3 at the trade show ground at the Porte Versailles in Paris.
