AIMEN at JEC World 2025

At JEC World 2025, AIMEN will be present in the España Pavilion to show the most relevant results of the research projects they are working on and the centre’s capabilities in Advanced Composite Manufacturing (thermoplastics and thermosets, AFP, RTM, LRI and thermoforming), additive manufacturing of composites (FFF, robotized LFAM, filaments and pellets development), and smart and functional materials, in sectors such as the automotive, aeronautical and energy, among others.

This year, AIMEN’s focus is on Automated and Robotized Additive Manufacturing of Aerospace innovative structures under the project CAELESTIS, lead by AIMEN (Hyperconnected simulation ecosystem supporting probabilistic design and predictive manufacturing of next generation aircraft structures). The CAELESTIS project is developing an end-to-end interoperable Simulation Ecosystem (ISE) to perform multidirectional dataflow across the aircraft value chain to accelerate the design and engineering optimization of disruptive aircraft and engine configurations, ensuring their manufacturability from design conceptualization. CAELESTIS concept will be validated during the demonstrator manufacturing, this is a new concept of a composite OVG made by AFP for the dry fibre and RTM.

AIMEN is also pleased to announce that it will exhibit at the JEC 2025 Innovation Planets space, the modular wind turbine blade prototype, CARBO4POWER WTB, which we have manufactured in collaboration with the European Carbo4Power project partners implementing the innovative technologies and materials developed within the project, including the innovative 3R vitrimer resin, repairable, reprocessable and recyclable, and infusion and automated manufacturing processes such as AFP, Automated Fibre Placement.

The project results include a 25% reduction in waste, a 40% reduction in manufacturing costs and a 15% decrease in environmental impact per WTB. These results highlight the great potential of the solutions developed in the CARBO4POWER project to improve durability, efficiency and environmental friendliness in marine energy.

Spain Pavilion

AIMEN Technology Centre will participate in the JEC World Fair, from March 4 to 6 in Paris (France), together with the Spanish Association of Composite Materials, in the Pavilion Spain VI. They will be located in Hall 5, stand F135.

The Spain Pavilion, once again organized by AEMAC, will be made up of 11 co-exhibitors, in addition to the organizer, those will be: AITIIPEurecatGAIKERIDEKOPOLYMECREINFORCE3Dr-LIGHTBIOCOMPTECNALIATitania Ensayos y Proyectos IndustrialesZIUR Composite solutions y AIMEN.
