Composites One extends 2017 educational partnerships
Composites One, along with the Closed Mold Alliance and Magnum Venus Products, announce their 2017 educational partnerships with the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) and Davis Applied Technology College (DATC).
“The schools in advanced processes and materials that we led with IACMI and Magnum Venus Products this year attracted hundreds of composites professionals,” said Composites One President and COO Leon Garoufalis, who will be joined at the Press Announcement by IACMI CEO Craig Blue. “We hope to build upon this success in 2017 by attracting an even wider audience to four more schools,” added Leon.
Locations and dates include:
- Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN – February 23-24
- NREL/IACMI Wind Technology Facility, Boulder, CO – April 18-19
- IACMI Vehicle Scale Up Facility at Corktown, Detroit, MI – May 16-17
- IACMI Modeling & Simulation Facility at Purdue University’s Indiana Manufacturing Institute, West Lafayette, IN – November 7-8
“Our new partnership with DATC is an opportunity to enhance their composites curriculum and help prepare graduates for careers in the industry,” said Leon.
Joining him to provide more details will be DATC President Michael J. Bouwhuis, Ginger Chinn, Vice President of DATC External Engagement and Economic Development, along with Ben Hart, Managing Director, Urban and Rural Business Services, Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development.
