Hexcel appoints Thierry Merlot as President
Thierry Merlot, who was VP & General Manager since 2010, has now been appointed as Group President for the European, Asian, Pacific, Middle-Eastern and African aeronautics markets.
A graduate from the Arts et Métiers ParisTech engineering school in 1979, he started his career as composites quality manager at Dassault before joining Hexcel in 1988.
The Group is strongly implanted in France, particularly in the Rhône-Alpes territory. They announced a 220 million euro investment in the region to secure their global supply chain, build a new factory and modernize their sites.
