ICE – AS9100 Certification announcement

Innovative Composite Engineering (ICE, White Salmon, Wash.) announced that its facility had been certified to the AS9100:2009 Rev C Quality Management System standard after successfully passing a certification audit performed by Orion Registrar Inc. (Arvada, Colo.).

The AS9100 quality standard is recognized by the U.S. Federal Aviation Admin. (Washignton, D.C.) as the quality standard for the U.S. aviation, space, and defense industries. The standard includes all the requirements of ISO9001 along with additional aerospace requirements specific to the industry. Therefore, certification to the ISO9001:2008 standard is also included.

ICE is a recognized leader in the composites industry and is known for its expertise in the areas of design, engineering and manufacturing of carbon-fiber composite components, structures and assemblies. The company supplies product not only to the aviation, space, and defense sectors but to the automotive and recreational industries as well.

ICE employs approximately 65 people at its new 64,000 ft2 (5,946m2) facility in White Salmon. Certification to the AS9100C standard supports ICE’s continued commitment to produce dependable products and services, and goal of continually improving their quality management system.
