Materiales Estructurales Ligeros SL becomes MEL Composites SL
Materiales Estructurales Ligeros, SL, a leading Spanish supplier of materials, engineering and technical support for the advanced composites sector, has announced its new name and updated visual identity. With immediate effect, the Barcelona based company will now become MEL Composites SL.
Reflecting the company’s continued international expansion and an increasing focus on providing customers with a complete composites package combining expert technical support along with the highest quality materials, the new name and identity matches the MEL Composites philosophy.
From its Barcelona headquarters, MEL Composites provides advanced composites manufacturers such as Nanotures, Sasga Yachts, ZEN Yachts, Trimarine, Mar Kayaks Lda (Nelo), Trygons, InterEnergy Group Panamá and MBoats with a broad range of materials, consumables and equipment from leading industry brands. MEL Composites has also expanded its technical team to enable the group to support customers throughout each step of the process ensuring optimum composite processing results.
In one of its largest projects to date, MEL Composites has recently worked as both a technical partner and material supplier to Nanotures, providing process support and delivering epoxy resins, paint systems, glass and carbon fibre reinforcements for the massive 75m composite beams for the new stadium roof of a large Spanish Football Club.
