New AIREX® T92 SealX wins CCE JEC 2012 Innovation Awards Programme
3A Composites were awarded the CCE-JEC 2012 Innovation Award for the new AIREX® T92 SealX technology. This new surface sealing technology reduces the AIREX® PET core materials’ resin uptake by over 50%. Customers using AIREX® T92 or T90 can therefore save approximately 0.6 kg of infused resin per square meter resulting both in a lighter and cheaper product.
The award Innovation Award Programme is given by the China Composites Industry Association and JEC. The award jury is composed of 8 experts from China and overseas, mainly from FRP institutes and associations.

SealX can be ordered both for AIREX® T90 and T92 and is suitable for all resin transfer processes (e.g. infusion). Extensive testing has proven that all properties including fatigue and skin adhesion are unchanged by this novel surface sealing. In the meantime, SealX has already been successfully applied in wind rotor blades, sailing yachts and other high performance applications. Customers are delighted to receive a product that has better performance and reduces part cost at the same time.
