Joe Read appointed managing director of Biesterfeld in UK & Ireland
Joe Read has been appointed managing director of Biesterfeld in UK & Ireland, effective March 1, 2026. He will succeed Guy Payne, who will assume the role of long-term advisor.
Joe Read has been appointed managing director of Biesterfeld, a global distributor, UK & Ireland. He brings extensive experience in the British and European engineering polymers industry, having held senior sales and marketing positions at DuPont, Delrin and EMS-Chemie. He also has a strong understanding of the composites industry, having successfully run a distribution business alongside his father for several years

Biesterfeld will exhibit at JEC World 2026, in Biesterfeld Hall 6, booth M15. On its 112 m² booth, the distributor will showcase a wide range of advanced composite solutions from its main suppliers in various sectors. Among the highlights will be a NATO ski manufactured using products from Huntsman, structural aviation and cabin interior applications featuring materials from Saertex and sustainable solutions developed in cooperation with ExxonMobil and Infinici, amon others. A dedicated Additive Manufacturing Corner will offer live demonstrations, including the printing of high-performance super polymers and elastomers using 3D printers from Roboze and Lynxter.
