EuCIA welcomes Latvian Composite Materials Association as new member
The European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) welcomes the Latvian Composite Materials Association (Latvijas Kompozītmateriālu asociācija, LKMA) to its growing network of national composites associations and industry-specific sector groups and alliances. The membership agreement was signed in Paris this March during JEC World 2026, the leading international composites show.
Established in 2024, LKMA unites companies, research institutions and industry experts working with advanced composite materials in Latvia and promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and sustainable industrial development. By strengthening the national composites ecosystem, LKMA aims to increase the competitiveness, visibility, and export capacity of Latvian industry in Europe and globally. Membership of EuCIA offers closer cooperation with European industry leaders, access to industry knowledge and best practice, and stronger representation of the Latvian composites industry at European level.
Gunārs Kosojs, head of LKMA stated: “I am truly pleased that we are now part of EuCIA. This is a great step for Latvia and a clear signal that we are part of the global composites industry. Joining EuCIA’s collaborative network means we can become even more actively involved in European innovation, sustainability, and industry development initiatives.”
Roberto Frassine, president of EuCIA, added: “We are delighted to welcome the Latvian Composite Materials Association to EuCIA. JEC World 2026 provided the perfect opportunity to seal our partnership and to introduce our new Latvian colleagues to EuCIA’s members and partners. This addition of another national association to our network is a further step in our mission to represent the entire European composites value chain.”
LKMA expands EuCIA’s existing network of national composites industry associations and industry-specific sector groups and alliances. Through its members, EuCIA represents 85% of the European composites market.
