Murray Scott wins a Scala Award of the International Committee on Composite Materials
The award ceremony was held during the 22nd International Conference on Composite Materials. On this occasion, Murray Scott gave a lecture on “Advanced Composites Research and Innovation – an Australian Perspective”.
Professor Murray Scott is Chairman of Advanced Composite Structures Australia, the spin-out company of the highly acclaimed CRC for Advanced Composite Structures, which he was CEO of for over 13 years. He has made major contributions to the development of advanced composites and has an outstanding record of achievement in engineering research, education and professional activities. His many company and academic appointments are fitting recognition of his standing in the field, which include being elected firstly as President and then as a World Fellow of the International Committee on Composite Materials (ICCM). He has also represented Australia on the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), serving as President for a two-year period, and is now an Honorary Fellow.
