The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between JEC and the Piemonte Agency for Investment and Export, with support from the Piemonte Regional Government, reinforcing strong ties with the region’s industrial and research ecosystem.

Assocompositi, Italy’s composites industry association and a longstanding JEC partner, was present for the signing, which took place at JEC World 2026 earlier in March.

Following two successful editions in Bologna and Cernobbio, JEC Forum Italy now moves to Turin, a city combining a strong industrial legacy and a dynamic innovation ecosystem.

The Piemonte region is a major European center for advanced manufacturing, with expertise spanning automotive, aerospace, mechatronics, healthcare and industrial technologies, placing it at the heart of several strategic composite application sectors.

Bringing the 2027 edition of the JEC Forum Italy to Turin means recognizing Piemonte as a central player in the European advanced manufacturing and composite materials supply chains. It is the result of the work that the Regional Government, together with other institutional partners, has been carrying out to strengthen the attractiveness of the territory and create the conditions for investments, innovation, and major international events to choose our production system”, declares Andrea Tronzano, Regional Minister for Productive Activities and Internationalization of the Piemonte Regional Government.

He also highlighted that the Forum represents an opportunity to showcase Piemonte’s industrial strengths on a world stage and open new growth and market opportunities for regional businesses.

“With this third edition, JEC Forum Italy continues to grow and strengthen its role as a strategic business platform for the growing Italian composites community. After Bologna and Cernobbio, hosting the event in Turin — at the heart of Piemonte’s industrial excellence — marks a new milestone. The signature of the MOU with Piemonte Agency for Investment and Export, alongside our long-standing collaboration with Assocompositi, provides a powerful foundation for international development and innovation,” said Anne-Carole Barbarin, Regional Events Director, JEC.

Dario Peirone, President of Piemonte Agency for Investment and Export, welcomed the announcement of JEC Forum Italy 2027 in Turin, highlighting the region’s strong industrial base and long-standing engagement with the global composites community.

Through our participation in JEC events over the years, we have seen their strong ability to connect industry, research and innovation. With a dynamic ecosystem of around 9,000 companies across sectors such as mobility, aerospace, mechatronics and healthcare, Piemonte offers a powerful platform for the development and application of advanced composite technologies”, said Dario Peirone, President of Piemonte Agency for Investment and Export.

Italy accounts for approximately 15% of Europe’s composite materials production, supported by a strong network of SMEs and a diversified industrial base combining traditional manufacturing and advanced applications.

“Italy’s position in the European landscape highlights not only its significant production capacity, but also its growth potential linked to technological evolution, sustainability and the demand for advanced solutions in key industrial sectors, particularly boating, automotive, aerospace and construction. For this reason, the choice of Turin for the next edition of JEC Forum Italy represents a decision of high strategic value”, said Roberto Frassine, President Assocompositi.

The continued collaboration with Assocompositi ensures strong mobilization across the Italian composites value chain, from material producers and processors to equipment manufacturers and key application industries.

JEC Forum Italy 2027 will take place at OGR Torino (Officine Grandi Riparazioni), a former railway workshop transformed into a 35,000 m² hub dedicated to culture, technology and business acceleration — an ideal setting for high-level industry exchange. Further details about the program and how to participate will be announced in the coming months.
